RSSJeter Center Out – The Garden is Back
In an effort to restore some of the glorious tradition past of the Boston Celtics & Bruins; The G’ah’den is back.
The official name will be The TD Banknorth Garden. This is a far cry from the many names that were being dreamed up with the on-line Ebay charity auction to have the rights to name the venue. The ultimate sin was almost perpetrated by a long time Yankee fan. Then Boston locals stepped in to save themselves from a most certain embarrassment.
It took 86 years for the Red Sox to reverse the curse, the last thing the city of Boston needed was to have their two other sports teams jinxed. All ended well with the auctions, for March 13 rights, raising more than $150,000 for charity.
